Starting today, residents will no longer face a 30-day limit on the amount of prescription medication they’re able to receive at once.
Ontarians will now be able to get up to 100 days’ worth of medication.
Drug restrictions took effect in March, in order to prevent possible shortages.
The Ministry of Health says the supply of many drugs and medications have stabilized in the province since the limit was imposed.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says the restriction was critical to prevent drug shortages due to stockpiling at the outset of the virus outbreak.
