Ramara and Muskoka Lakes residents are being cautioned about confirmed blue-green algae blooms in the south end of Lake St. John and the southwest area of Silver Lake.
The Health Unit says not to use the water where the blooms are visible and don’t let pets or livestock drink or swim there either.
Blooms can produce toxins harmful to people and animals.
Avoid swimming and other water sports where the blooms can be seen.
