An anonymous donation will help keep the Bracebridge Fire Department well-equipped for water and ice rescues.
The donation was made recently and will be used to purchase new water and ice rescue equipment (below) for firefighters.
It was done in memory of Kevin J. Schell, a Bracebridge man who gave his life this year on August 24th trying to save another person from drowning in Bracebridge Bay.
The department says Schell’s selfless spirit shall live on.
