The #BlockHate campaign has been launched this week.
It is being hosted by the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and YWCA Canada to highlight the consequences of social-media hate.
The campaign aims to minimize the volume and frequency at which hate speech and racism is spread online.
It calls for more consequences for the offenders and more regulations to ensure that hateful posts can be taken down quickly to decelerate their spread.
Racism and hate speech have always been with us, but online, they spread unchecked β bringing trauma, fear, and violence to the lives of Canadians. We can do more to #BlockHate online β join CRRF and YWCA Canada at
