The Spring Break will happen as planned in April.
Today Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce also confirmed the plan right now is to have students return to in-class learning after the break, which had been postponed until April 12th.
This is because of the low case counts in schools across the Province.
“I can assure families is that we are monitoring the situation – the Province, we are cognizant of rising numbers as we deal with this Third Wave and variants of concern,” he said, “I can also assure families that just based on the data as it is today – you know, roughly 98.6 per cent of schools notwithstanding all the challenges we face in the world and in this country – nearly 99 per cent of schools are open.”
Lecce assures families there will be a plan for improved safety measures and access to testing that will reduce any potential cases entering the schools after the break.
