The Weather Network has released its winter forecast.
It says a tumultuous temperature pattern is expected across Canada during the upcoming season, which officially begins on December 21.
Meteorologist Nadine Powell says this will result in a come-and-go winter for much of the country, which will include periods of storms, interrupted by periods of mild weather.
However, the weather agency says more consistent winter weather is expected to shift into Ontario, Quebec, and even into the Maritimes for a few weeks during the second half of December, and into early January, just in time for Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Powell says southern Ontario should expect above normal precipitation and snowfall, with the warmer weather expected in the New Year.
