It was a long day not just for Rogers users, but seemingly everyone, thanks to an outage of Rogers wireless and internet services.
For most of yesterday, cell phones, home and business internet services, ATMs, and debit machines were all impacted by an outage.
The service interruption spanned from around 5 o’clock yesterday morning, until after 9 o’clock last night.
Rogers Senior Vice President of access networks and operations Kye Prigg says they aren’t sure why all failsafe measures stopped working for users across Canada.
There is no indication that it was a cyber attack, and tech experts are saying it was likely an internal issue.
Rogers has about 9 million wireless customers and about 3 million customers for their cable and internet services.
