The body of a fallen OPP officer will be taken to Barrie Friday under police escort, as the city prepares to host its second police funeral in less than three months.
A procession will travel from Toronto Friday morning from the Center of Forensic Sciences to Barrie.
Twenty-eight -year-old Constable Greg Pierzchala was gunned down near Hagersville on Tuesday.
A police funeral will be held in his hometown of Barrie on Wednesday, January 4th.
Details are still being finalized.
In October, a police funeral was held in Barrie for two South Simcoe police officers who were killed in the line of duty.
