Two people have been charged with stunt driving after a traffic stop on Highway 400 near Moonstone Road in Oro-Medonte.
An officer was able to stop two vehicles travelling together just after 1:30 on Friday afternoon. The officer noted that the vehicles were seen travelling at a speed of 174 km/h on the road, which has a posted speed limit of 100 km/h.
The two 19-year-old drivers, both from Sudbury, have been charged with speeding more than 50km over the limit, as well as stunt driving.
Both drivers have had their licences suspended for 30 days, and their vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
