After a couple of mild days to enjoy, the bitter cold has returned.
The temperature is going to fall throughout the day and stay there for at least the next 24-36 hours.
An Extreme Cold Weather Alert has been issued for northern parts of the province, including Huntsville and Parry Sound.
Environment Canada says bitterly cold arctic air will begin to flood across the area this morning with minimum temperatures in the minus twenties combined with winds that will result in wind chill values near minus 35.
The normal high for this time of year is minus 4.
