A new fire truck has arrived at the Baysville fire station.
The used pumper was purchased from a supplier in the United States and three members of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department traveled to Alabama, and drove the truck back to Muskoka.
The department decided to buy a gently used vehicle, because prices and delivery wait times for new fire trucks have increased dramatically due to supply chain shortages.
The new unit replaces a 1999 pumper.
