A smoke alarm helped the occupant of a house in Muskoka Lakes safely escape a fire Wednesday night.
Firefighters from Torrance, Walkers Point, & Bala responded to the structure fire on Neals Road.
The fire department says it was a fast spreading fire, caused by a space heater.
The damage is extensive.
