The husband in a missing woman case that prompted an extensive search of the Huntsville area has been charged with murder.
61-year-old Helen Sedo (above) of Aurora was reported missing after leaving her home July 29th around 10 am in her 2012 Acura RDX.
The search to find her had expanded in recent weeks to a family property in Huntsville.
Now York Regional Police (YRP) confirm that Sedo’s husband John Sedo (above and below, right) has been charged in the case.
He was arrested on Wednesday, September 23rd. Police believe Helen is deceased and officers continue to search for her and her vehicle.
Investigators are also releasing photos of John Sedo and the clothing he was wearing on the dates around Helen’s disappearance.
They want anyone who recalls seeing him or the vehicle on July 29, 30, and or 31, 2020, to please come forward.
He has a court date scheduled for October 8th.
